For several years, Ione (pronounced I-Own) McCarthy was a women's apparel buyer for a prestigious department store. She later moved on from that role and owned and operated a thriving travel agency for many years while continuing her extensive travels. As she says, "It'd be easier to tell you the places I haven't been rather than those I have been." But no matter how exotic her destination or how luxurious her accommodations, Ione always looked forward to one aspect of every trip: arriving back home in Seattle, where she belongs. And just like the other Emerald City, "there's no place like home."

With a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the UW, Ione uses her aesthetic abilities to add another dimension to her real estate services.
